This challenging career opportunity is offered as permanent with career growth potential. The ideal candidate will be CIMA or CA qualified with a minimum of 2 years FMCG experience. Reporting into the Financial Director, the main focus of the role will include:

To provide accurate analysis and to deliver targeted and insightful commercial information to the Sales and Finance Team for all brands and markets

To be able to set smart measurable commercial policy e.g. Trading terms, deals, value chain analysis

The main responsibilities include:

• To own the financial aspects of the business plan and quarterly forecasts for the Sales, challenging information where appropriate and ensuring that group reporting requirements are met within their timetable.
• Executing the monthly, quarterly and annual budgeting process together with the Sales department
• Directing the interpretation of the Sales budgets and preparing timely and accurate reports.
• Managing and improving the productivity and efficiency of the Sales department from a Finance perspective.
• Developing practices and procedures for self-controlling within the Sales department.
• Developing and deploying systems or reports within the HO systems and report environment to support the budget holders. Ensuring reconciliations occur between all systems for accurate reporting.
• Responsible for the provision, accruals and development of regular financial and KPI information, analysis, commentary and recommendations for the Sales department;
• Assisting in production of risk/opportunities reports
• Co-Ownership of weekly provision of sales volume, net sales value and costs for all brands safeguarding the accuracy of data
• To provide accurate and timely responses to queries from the sales team or Head Office about sales information.
• To ensure that the guidelines received from Head Office are communicated to the Sales Department where necessary.

This position is only open to applications from South African citizens.

Salary guide: R600k to R700k depending on experience.
