Job Description

My client is looking to attract skilled talent for a vacant Accounts Payable Manager position to report into the Group Finance Manager.

Qualifications and Experience
• Tertiary Qualification in Financial Accounting
• 5 years experience in Creditors and/ Financial Environment
• Staff Management experience essential
• Proficient in Excel
• Oracle Financial System experience will be an advantage

 Responsibilities

• Overall management responsibility of accounts payable and mailroom
• Staff Management
• Implement and maintain internal controls over accounts payable function
• Maintenance of the supplier database on Oracle including employees and banking details update and complete credit applications
• Liaison with internal and external suppliers
• Review and approve monthly creditors reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensure payments to suppliers are made on time and according to payment policy
• Approve weekly and monthly EFT payments for fully matched batches
• Review and signoff all debit memos
• Assist with annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for the creditors department and ensure expenses are controlled
