Pete has a financial background, completing a B Comm. from UCT before studying with the Institute of Chartered Management Accountants with whom he is an ACMA. After spending 8 years in the corporate market in Analyst and Financial management roles, he followed his entrepreneurial instincts and started Contract Accountants. Pete has remained involved with the brand through various shareholding changes, thereby ensuring the culture of the company has not changed as it has grown.
Brendon Lezar - Regional Manager Western Cape
Brendon Lezar initiated his career in the service delivery driven industry of Hospitality where he spent 7 years employed in a senior management capacity with an award winning 5 star luxury hotel group.
In 1997, he moved to the UK where he entered the field of accounting in a contracting capacity. After 2 years, Brendon partnered up with 2 individuals and opened a financial recruitment company in London.
After 5 years of successful trading, he sold the company in 2003 and returned to South Africa and joined up with Contract Accountants. Having spent almost seven years with Contract Accountants, Brendon was able to establish an excellent rapport with a select group of the company’s blue-chip clientele. Brendon has become a shareholder within Contract Accountants. He still actively recruits for key clients where he has established himself as their leading provider of Accounts and Finance staffing solutions.

Cathy Symmonds - Consultant
Cathy initiated her recruitment career in the UK back in 2004. She specialized within the medical recruitment industry primarily focusing her efforts on the London and Surrounds market, but was also active on a national scale. Within a four year period, Cathy’s efforts were justifiably rewarded as she was promoted to the company’s Management structure. Cathy’s ability to excel and maintain a clear focus on both her candidates and clients needs was precisely what her employers needed during a time when the UK’s medical recruitment industry was under immense pressure, facing constant challenges in a difficult market. With her goals reached and her objectives met, Cathy decided to return home to South Africa in July of 2008, having been made an offer of employment by Contract Accountants whilst still in the UK. Currently employed as the branchs only General Consultant, Cathy is able to offer her expertise to her Candidates and Clients in both the permanent and contracting disciplines offered by the industry. Cathy has a sincere passion for the recruitment industry and enjoys the variety and challenges of recruiting across the temp/perm spectrum.
Stuart Welch - Consultant
Stuart has been in recruitment since 1998, starting out specialising in call centre placements, both temporary and permanent. It was here that Stuart discovered his preference for the temporary / contract product. In 2005, Stuart moved to Dubai for 1 year, where he worked for a large retail chain in their internal recruitment department. In 2006, Stuart returned to SA and had the fortunate opportunity to join Contract Accountants in their temporary / contract division, doing what he enjoys most. Recruitment is in his blood and he has a passion for the industry.
Ryan De Stadler - Consultant
Ryan is a Specialist Financial Services recruiter operating across the Cape Town market for Contract Accountants. He was trained as a recruitment consultant in the UK by the international recruitment agency, Hays Specialist Recruitment where he specialized in Accountancy & Finance recruitment in the North London and Northern Home Counties. Previously, Ryan has had extensive experience as an Investment Property Consultant in London and as an Introducing Broker at an International Commodities and Currency Investment company.

Shahida joined the team at Contract Accountants in May 2007, as a Front Office Administrator, and has been in the Recruitment Industry since 2000.
